Olympus Europe Hints at New Digital SLR 'Coming Soon'
Olympus Europe has a teaser ad for a new Digital SLR that is marked as "coming soon." Very little information is known about this new camera, but this new model was officially mentioned in March at PMA 2007 as being the successor to the Olympus E-1.
Like its two younger siblings, the E-410 and E-510, this new DSLR will boast a full time Live View function, an enhanced rear panel LCD monitor that can be used to compose images while shooting and "will boast tremendous improvements in both performance and functionality, taking the excellent picture quality, mobility, and reliability of the E-1 to new and unprecedented levels." The camea will also sport "a rugged design to withstand heavy-duty professional use," according to the press announcement made on March 6, 2007.
