Lumix photo printers - the ideal partner for Lumix cameras

In response to the increasing demand for an easy-to-use home printing solution Panasonic is pleased to launch two, compact, easy-to-use home dye and sublimation thermal transfer photo printers, the KX-PX2 and KX-PX20. Making a perfect partnership for printing images captured by your Lumix digital camera in clear, beautiful detail.

Colour LCD Display
The KX-PX2 and KX-PX20 are both equipped with a colour LCD display for your convenience. The KX-PX2 has a 1.5-inch Colour LCD Display, providing comfortable operation not only for simple printing but for editing photos to create original calendars, design photo cards and add some photo effects. The KX-PX20 boasts a 3.6-inch large IPS*-TFT colour LCD providing a 170 degree viewing angle both vertically and horizontally, enabling users to view the display easily giving extra clarity and convenience.

The Perfect Partner
These printers make the perfect partner for Lumix digital cameras as unlike other home photo printers they are able to read extra information recorded onto the EXIF data by Lumix digital still cameras, allowing you to benefit from unique features such as "Soft skin" mode, "night scene" mode and "high sensitivity" mode. The KX-PX2 and KX-PX20 can reproduce beautifully those images captured by Lumix digital cameras. Photos taken by Lumix "Baby Mode" or "Travel Mode" can be printed with the baby's age or the number of days that passed since the departure date requiring no PC**.

Feature Rich Printing
16:9 Wide Aspect Printing***

In addition to the standard post-card size, (10.1cm x 15.2cm) the Lumix KX-PX2 and KX-PX20 can print 16:9 wide aspect images (10.1cm x 18cm) so you can enjoy prints of a large group of people, expansive architectual structures and landscapes with dynamic width and rich perspective. This enables users to print images captured by the unique Lumix 16:9 wide aspect mode in their original format with no need for trimming. Furthermore, with the KX-PX20, users can enjoy these images on their 16:9 wide-screen TV in full screen mode by utilising the video out terminal.

100 Years of Enjoyment
The combination of dye-sublimation technology and an over-coating process means that the prints produced by the Lumix printers are resistant to light, water, UV rays and skin contact. As a result, prints can stay in good condition for up to 100 years****.

Versatile Printing - SD Memory Card, PictBridge and PC Printing
Panasonic's KX-PX2 and KX-PX20 are inherently easy to use -- simply place the SD or SDHC card into the card slot and users can print their images easily and quickly by selecting them on the LCD Display. It is also possible to connect the printer directly to any PictBridge-enabled digital camera via a USB cable, or simply connect the printer to a PC for easy printing.

More Fun with your Lumix
To further add to their appeal, these new printers also have fun features including original calendars and photo cards creation with characters stamping*****, and photo effects, such as oil painting, sepia and monochrome.

KX-PX20
The KX-PX20 offers all the benefits enjoyed by the KX-PX2 but goes one step further with a number of additional features, to cater for those looking for that bit extra. Images can be viewed on colour LCD display or on TV by connecting it to the printer with the AV cable. You can enjoy a full slideshow of your images and edit them. In addition thanks to the dual CPU inside the KX-PX20, you can perform two jobs simultaneously. For example, you can view or edit photos while printing.

The KX-PX20 has a simple operation mode, which is optimised for simple printing operations, and therefore provides extremely easy functionality. There are also easy-to-follow printing instructions that appear on screen to guide you, making it perfect for the inexperienced photographer.

The KX-PX2 and KX-PX20 will be available from April and paired with a Lumix camera make the perfect partnership for printing quality images.

* In-Plane Switching
** Other Printers` users need PC to print them
*** requires wide size consumable (KX-PVMS20W) ****This is a presumed value based on original measurements performed by Panasonic.
It is a value that is likely to vary depending on environment and, therefore, it cannot be guaranteed.
*****Characters stamping feature is only available for KX-PX20
