Canon U.S.A. and Madison Square Garden Announce New Three Year Integrated Marketing Partnership

Canon U.S.A., Inc., and Madison Square Garden today announced that Canon has signed a three-year marketing and sponsorship agreement that renews and expands their long-standing partnership with Madison Square Garden (MSG).

As part of its sponsorship agreement with "The World's Most Famous Arena," Canon expands its involvement with MSG Properties, including in-arena signage, game telecasts, Garden Web sites and exterior signage. The agreement includes displaying Canon logos from the Gardenvision, the arena's center-hung scoreboard, for all events, and on the ice for all Rangers home games. Canon will also be sponsoring the "Rangers Canon Goalcam," which appears regularly during all home broadcasts; and participate in promotional activities around the Rangers and the team's Web site.

"Over the years, we have had outstanding experiences at Madison Square Garden and feel that our partnership has helped heighten the visibility and value of our brand," said William Reed, senior vice president and general manager, Corporate Communications, Canon U.S.A., Inc. "As a result, we made the decision to expand our involvement with the Garden to allow us to leverage all of the unique entities that MSG represents. The partnership with the Garden will open the door to showcase our products at The World's Most Famous Arena."

According to Michael Chico, executive vice president, Advertising Sales for Madison Square Garden, "Our partnership with Canon is special to all of us at the Garden, and we are constantly striving to help Canon leverage its globally recognized brand within our various entities. Madison Square Garden is unlike any other organization in the world - it is not only the preeminent venue for history-making performances and events, showcasing the very best athletes, performers and entertainers, it is also the most important venue for sports and entertainment in New York, period."
