Casio Releases EX-Z600 Firmware Update (Version 1.02)
Casio today released a firmware update for their EX-Z600 Digital Camera. This firmware release, version 1.02, adds support for the new SDHC memory cards as well as fixes the problem with the "Pattern 4" slideshow effect that could cause the slideshow to stop part way through and camera key operations to freeze. This second fix is only needed on cameras with firmware version 1.00.
Attention users in Russia and the Ukraine
Updating the firmware of your camera to Version 1.02 will cause your camera to lose its ability to display messages in Russian. After updating, you will be able to display messages in the following languages only: English, French, German, Spanish, Italian, Portuguese, Japanese, Chinese, or Korean. Update your firmware to Version 1.02 only if you agree to lose Russian display messages. Note also that there are no plans to offer a Russian language version of firmware update Version 1.02.
