SanDisk To Acquire Msystems
SanDisk® Corporation (NASDAQ: SNDK) and msystems(TM) Ltd. (NASDAQ: FLSH) today entered into definitive agreements for SanDisk to acquire msystems in an all stock transaction. This combination joins together two flash memory pioneers with complementary products, customers and channels. Nikon Leaks D80 Digital SLR Photos Just 13 Days Before Launch
According to website hiptechblog.com, Nikon Europe has "Accidentally" leaked photos of the soon to be announced mystery Digital SLR - now known, thanks to the photos, as the Nikon D80. Information about this new camera is still sketchy but it now seems that this 10.2-megapixel Digital SLR will feature an SD memory card slot instead of a CompactFlash slot, and the camera body has a mixture of buttons that seem to merge the functionality of the Nikon D50 and D70s.

Nikon to Introduce New 10.2-Megapixel DSLR in just 19 Days
Nikon is showing a teaser ad for a new 10.2-megapixel Digital SLR that they plan to introduce in 19-days. Casio Releases EX-Z600 Firmware Update (Version 1.02)
Casio today released a firmware update for their EX-Z600 Digital Camera. This firmware release, version 1.02, adds support for the new SDHC memory cards as well as fixes the problem with the "Pattern 4" slideshow effect that could cause the slideshow to stop part way through and camera key operations to freeze. This second fix is only needed on cameras with firmware version 1.00.

Canon Releases Firmware Update Version 1.1.0 for EOS 5D Digital SLR
Canon today has released a new firmware update (version 1.1.0) for the Canon EOS 5D Digital SLR. This firmware releases enhances direct printing with specific printers, corrects a communication error that would occur when shooting with the EOS 5D and EOS Capture Software after taking about 138 pictures, and corrects the phenomenon in which the flash mode settings are changed from E-TTL to M (Manual) when EOS 5D is used in combination with Speedlite Transmitter ST-E2 and Speedlite 580EX.
